To get the data to appear on the slippy map on OpenStreetMap’s main page press ‘+’ sign in the upper right corner of the main page.

After clicking the plus you usually get the ‘Baselayer’ options ‘Mapnik’, ‘Osmarender’, ‘Cycle Map’ and other. ‘Overlays’ option is also presented with the ‘Data’ option. Zoom into the area where you want to check the data and press the ‘Data’ option.

Select the point you are interested in and inspect the data which is stored in OpenStreetMap.
